Tyger

Tyger waited patiently for his new home
but it came along.  He had some trouble
with his eyes when we first got him but time and medication has it all cleared up and his eyes are now bright and alert.  A drop a day will keep his vision as good as
new.  I hear you are the talk of the street
Tyger.

Naya                                                Kasey                                   Fun in the Snow

Date Adopted: January 30, 2011(from Montreal, Eleveneleven animal rescue)

Rescue Story: Naya a beautiful Giant Schnauzer mix was originally rescued just minutes before she was supposed to be euthanized at 8 months old for diarrhea her previous owners did not want to treat. She was rescued and adopted into a loving home. But after 2 years in her rescued home, because of her breed requirements the adoptive home realized as much as she tried, her home was not the best place for Naya and made the tough decision to re-home her for her best interest. She was adopted to a home in Puslinch, Ontario where she will have acres of fenced in property to run around on, and a sister to play with. She was adopted to a wonderful dedicated dog lover, who invests her life into fulfilling the well being of her dogs with exercise, love, training and diet. Naya hit the gold pot with her new home and will never have to be the restless anxious dog she was in her previous home.

This placement would not have been possible if it were not for Bonnie Hall of Your Dog Rescue. Bonnie found Naya this amazing home, did the house visit, screening process, and drove half way to pick up Naya (Kingston) from our volunteer who drove the other half of the journey (Montreal). Naya's happy ending has Bonnie to thank!

Post Adoption Update: Naya is in heaven, just loving going for long hikes and hanging out with her big sister Kasey. Her new mom says "I can tell Naya is quickly relaxing into her new home. She is talking to me more and more...after last nights walk with the neighbour and his dogs (it was dark and I had my headlamp on) when I was back home taking my boots off, Naya came over and gave me kisses all on her own. When I go to the washroom she has been following me in there and given me kisses all on her own (no food bribes). Well I think I am in! This pic is after the walk...icy beards."
